The Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood is looking for a capable, dynamic, committed fall intern to help us expand our reach. We are looking for a commitment of 20-30 hours per week. The position is unpaid; course credit available. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a career in social activism and advocacy. Details are below. Requirements:
- Proficiency in Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
- Research skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in social activism.
- Interest in communications/media studies, psychology, or child development (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Regularly update CCFC website with coalition news and events and important marketing developments.
- Assist in developing and publicizing campaigns to raise awareness about the harmful effects of marketing to children.
- Research issues and topics related to CCFC activities.
- Assist with publishing CCFC’s monthly newsletter..
- Maintain accurate database of CCFC members and friends.
